| Munster Circuit |
This Munster Circuit is the summer highlight of the showing season
in Ireland. Munster is the most southern of the Irelands provinces,
consisting of Counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and
Waterford. Its name derives from a pre-Christian goddess, Muma. Like
the other provinces of Leinster and Ulster, the full English name
incorporates the original Gaelic, together with the Norman suffix
"-ster", which is related to the modern French terre,
meaning "land". The Circuit is a four-show event starting
with Clonmel, Killarney, Tralee and Limerick. The shows are held
every second day with a day's break between each show. The Kingdom
of Kerry as it is known has some of the most spectacular scenery and
beaches in Ireland. The Circuit combines showing and lazy days off
to relax and walk the dogs. I have included a mixture of pictures so
you can see how relaxing and beautiful it is.
